As Newly-Weds ourselves, Matt and I from Taylormade Acoustic Duo and Live Wedding Band know just how difficult it is planning and budgeting for a Wedding - there is just so much to think of and arrange! It's a very exciting time, sometimes stressful and unfortunately, the costs can quickly start to add up too. Add to that the difficulties and uncertainties of the current economic climate here in the UK and it can seem very difficult to organise that fantastic Wedding you have always dreamed of.

Your Wedding is a once in a lifetime event and so you shouldn't have to compromise on the Wedding Day you would love just because of current cashflow. Until now, the only way to pay for a Live Band for your Wedding with a Credit Card has been via a Music Agency, however they also add their commission of around 15-20% of the Artist's fee!

More and more of our Clients have enquired whether they can pay by Credit Card, and we're pleased to say that in addition to Cheque or Bank Transfer payments, we can now accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex and Debit Cards as payment, via the secure method of PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account, just your Credit/Debit Card details you wish to pay with.

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Gemma and Ben Frazer, St Pauls Walden Bury, Hertfordshire

On Suday 29th August 2010, Taylormade Live Band headed to Hertfordshire for the Wedding of Gemma and Ben Frazer.

The Wedding was held in a stunning marquee in the grounds of the beautiful the childhood home of the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, pictured above, and the beautiful gardens led to temples, statues, a lake and ponds.

Gemma and Ben had asked us to learn their First Dance song which was 'Always on my mind' by a New Zealand singer/guitarist called Tiki Taan. We really enjoyed performing the track for them and in fact we performed as a trio as there were no drums in the original!

We continued the rest of the night with our Live Band and had a fantastic time performing for Gemma and Ben and their guests!

Taylormade Acoustic Duo and Live Wedding Band

Taylormade Live Band For Weddings - Michelle and Steve Baron, Patrington, Hull

On August Bank Holiday The Taylormade Live Band headed up to Hull in Humberside to perform at the Wedding of Michelle and Steve Baron.

Michelle and Steve had got married in their local church then headed back to have their garden party reception.

Unfortunately for Michelle and Steve the marquee which we were due to perform in had blown away that morning in the terrible weather we had been having, so they were really panicking about where we would said up!

So with a little help from some friends and alot of flexibility on our part we managed to squeeze into a tiny room no bigger than 10ft by 8ft! We had to move the sofa and several chairs and book cases but we managed to save the day!

We performed 1 x 60 minute set as Taylormade Acoustic Duo in the afternoon as they were having their drinks reception and 2 x 60 minute sets with our Live Band into the night!

It was a bit of a squeeze and a very eventful day but we had a fantastic time performing for everyone and Michelle and Steve said we were amazing!

We would like to wish Michelle and Steve all the best for the future and we hope you have a fantastic Honeymoon!

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Amy and Ian Thompson, Linden Hall Hotel, Northumberland

In August, Taylormade Live Wedding Band headed right up North to Morpeth in Northumberland to perform for Amy and Ian Thompson's Wedding at the beautiful Linden Hall Hotel.

We performed in the Bigge Suite which was a really lovely room with a fantastic dance floor and we made sure it was filled all night long!

We started the night with 'Can't Hurry Love' By The Supremes and finished our encore with 'Sex On Fire' By Kings Of Leon.

We had a fantastic time performing for Amy, Ian and their guests and would like to wish them the very best for the future and we hope you have a wonderful Honeymoon!

Taylormade Live Band - Katie and Will Willdridge - Filleigh Village Hall, Barnstaple

On the 31st July, Taylormade Live Band headed down to Devon for the Wedding of Katie and Will Willdridge.

Matt and I performed as our Acoustic Duo for 45 minutes during Katie and Will's Drinks Reception as everyone sipped Champagne outside in the summer sunshine.

The Village Hall looked absolutely beautiful with a big May pole in the middle and a gorgeous array of colours and Katie and Will had a Welsh theme as Katie is from South Wales, just like me!

Katie and Will had their First Dance to 'Then I Kissed Her' By The Beach Boys and it was a really lovely moment as they took to the floor for the first time as Husband and Wife!

Taylormade Live Band then get the party started and the dance floor was packed all night long. We had a great time performing for everyone and they kept me entertained just as much as I did them! There was crazy dance moves, superman poses and they really knew how to party!

We would like to wish Katie and Will all the best for the future and thank you for keeping us entertained on your special day!

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Natasha and Juan Acuna, Herstmonceaux Castle, Sussex

On 30th July, Taylormade Live Band For Weddings travelled down to Herstmonceaux Castle near Hailsham in Sussex to perform at Natasha and Juan's Wedding.

Matt and I performed as Taylormade Acoustic Duo during Natasha and Juan's Wedding Ceremony and it was a really lovely moment as Natasha walked down the aisle to 'Songbird' and you can see a video of this here.

Suzanne and Iain Coulton's Wedding - Halstead House, Leicestershire

On 17th July, Taylormade performed at the Wedding of Suzanne and Ian Coulton at the lovely Halstead House in Leicestershire, see picture above!

Suzanne and Iain had booked us to supply their whole days Wedding music from their Ceremony through until midnight with the DJ.

Taylormade Acoustic Duo performed during their Ceremony Suzanne had asked Matt to learn Mendelssohn's Bridal March as Suzanne walked up the aisle. It was a beautiful moment watching Suzanne walk up the aisle to Iain and listening to Matt playing such a beautiful piece of classical music.

I don't usually get the chance to sit and watch Matt play as I am usually singing however I must say I was very proud of him. Suzanne later told us she was over the moon with his beautiful performance and it had made her day!

We started the evening reception with Taylormade Acoustic Duo performing 'Amazed' By Lonestar as Suzanne and Iain's First Dance. Taylormade Live Wedding Band then got everyone up on the dance floor we had a great time performing for such a great crowd!

We would like to wish Suzanne and Iain all the bets for their future together and hope they had a wonderful time on Honeymoon!

Another Thank You Card For Taylormade Live Wedding Band!

Taylormade Live Wedding Band have just received another thank you card, this time from Katie and Will Willdridge whose Wedding we performed at on 31st July in Barnstaple.

We performed as our Acoustic Duo in the afternoon, Taylormade Live Band performed in the evening and we finished the night with the DJ.

Their note reads:

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Kate and Alex Rogerson, Portmeirion, North Wales

On 9th July Taylormade Live Wedding Band had the pleasure of heading up to the amazing Portmeirion Village in North Wales, for Kate and Alex Rogerson's Wedding.

Kate and Alex had booked Package 4 which included their Ceremony right through to DJ at the end of the night.

We performed some of our favourite songs during Kate and Alex's Ceremony, including 'Songbird' as Kate walked up the aisle, 'Better Together' and 'All You Need Is Love'.

We then had a break whilst Kate and Alex had their Wedding Breakfast so we took the opportunity to have a look around this incredible venue which was built in the style of an Italian Village.

As I've said in previous posts, I love the travelling involved in our job as we get to perform in some of the most prestigious and historical venues throughout the UK.

We started the evening reception performing as Taylormade Acoustic Duo, 'What A Wonderful World' which Kate and Alex had asked us to learn for their First Dance.

We then kicked off the party tracks with 'Can't Hurry Love' and everyone had an incredible time. We even had 2 encores as they were loving the music so much!

Live Wedding Band Devon - Melanie and James Starr, Buckland Tout Saints Hotel, Kingsbridge

On Friday 25th June, Taylormade Live Wedding Band headed down to Devon, in the West Country, for Melanie and James Starr's Wedding at the lovely Buckland Tout Saints Hotel in Kingsbridge.

The sun had been shining all day and it was lovely to see the Wedding party sipping Champagne in the Summer evening sunshine.

We started the evening by performing as Taylormade Acoustic Duo, Mel and James' First Dance of 'Songbird' By Eva Cassidy, which was a lovely moment as they took to the floor as Husband and Wife we then continued with our superb Live Wedding Band and DJ until 12.00am.

Taylormade Live Wedding Band Shropshire - Kimberley and Jon Symcox, Rowton Castle

On Thursday 24th June, Taylormade Live Wedding Band headed up to Shropshire to perform at Kimberley and Jon's Wedding at the incredible Rowton Castle.

Kim and Jon had only got engaged in January but couldn't wait more than a few months to get married which I think is pretty romantic!

We had never performed at Rowton Castle, and I must admit one of the great parts about our job is being able to perform in some of the most amazing and historic places in the UK. It really gives me a buzz and Rowton Castle goes as far back as the 1200's and we did get a real sense of history when we arrived!

We performed 'Stand By Me' for Kim and Jon's First Dance and it was a lovely moment as they took to the floor as Husband and Wife for the first time.

We then got everyone on the dance floor with 'Take me out' By Franz Ferdinand and the dance floor was packed all night long!

Taylormade Live Band For Wedding - Gemma and Mark Kaluza, Dodmoor House, Northamptonshire

On 12th June The Taylormade Live Band For Weddings performed at possibly their most local Wedding ever!

Being only 6.2 miles away from our new home, we just about managed the drive to the beautiful Dodmoor House for our second visit here this year.

Gemma and Mark booked us after seeing us performing live at the MK Wedding Show last October, and we had a brilliant time performing for them and their guests on their Big Day.

We learnt 'I Will Always Love You' By Whitney Houston for their First Dance song and performed this as the Acoustic Duo as they came down from the balcony and onto the dance floor! They had a choreographed routine but they had both confided in us earlier in the day that they were very nervous! Well Gemma and Mark you did a beautiful job and it was such a pleasure to perform for you as you took to the floor for the first time as Husband and Wife!

The Live Band then kicked off the evening and we finished with our DJ until midnight.

We would like to wish Gemma and Mark all the best for their Wedding and thank you for choosing us to be a part of your special day!

Taylormade Live Band For Weddings - Jo and Tim Merry, The Bush Hotel, Farnham, June 2010

After a well earned rest and more importantly taking a month off to get married and go on our Honeymoon, Matt and I from The Taylormade Live Band were back on the road!

On 5th June we travelled to Farnham in Surrey to perform at Jo and Tim Merry's Wedding at The Bush Hotel in Farnham. This lovely venue was an oasis in the middle of Farnham and it was a beautifully sunny day.

We performed an acoustic duo set in the gardens whilst Jo and Tim had their photographs taken in the sunshine. We used our brilliant little battery powered amp as there was no power available outside, and watched smiling as the Wedding party sipped Pimms and Lemonade!

For the evening reception The Taylormade Live Band performed 2 sets and the dancefloor was packed all night!

We would like to say a huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Merry and wish them all the best for the future!

Taylormade Acoustic Duo have their own Wedding!

I'm really delighted to let you all know that on 14th May 2010, Matt and I from Taylormade tied the knot in the most amazing location in Cuba in the Caribbean.

All of our closest friends and family were there to celebrate with us and we had an absolutely incredible time!

We had an Acoustic Trio who were just brilliant and it made the day so much more personal. It;s made me realise what a personal touch we bring to the Brides we perform for. It's was really great to see things from the other side!

We then sent them packing back to the UK and Matt and I enjoyed an incredible Honeymoon in one of the most breathtaking places I have EVER been to.

If you're undecided on a Honeymoon destination, give Cuba a thought! It's unbelievable value for money and packed with history, culture, passion and soul! Matt and I fell in love with Cuba and cannot recommend it enough!

I keep getting asked for tips by the Brides who have booked us and if there is one piece of advice I can give it would be:

JUST ENJOY IT!

It doesn't matter if it rains, if your hair isn't perfect, if the venue are running late - you get the idea! None of this matters, all that matters is you are surrounded by the people who love you most and you are about to become Husband and Wife! Sounds obvious I know but from experience it's the advice I wish I had be given before hand! Just take every single moment in, relax, and as above - ENJOY IT!

That's enough from me otherwise my Husband will tell me to stop being soppy! ;-)

Taylormade Live Band For Weddings - Kirsty and Sotirios, The Crooked Barn, Lowestoft April 2010

On 17th April 2010 we had the pleasure of performing at the Wedding of Kirsty and Sotirios at the beautiful Crooked Barn in Lowestoft, Suffolk. This was our second trip to this lovely venue and the sun shined on us all day long!

We started the day with myself and Matt performing 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and 'Songbird' By Eva Cassidy as the guests were taking their seats and awaiting the arrival of the Bride. We then performed 'The Rose' By Amanda McBroom as Kirsty walked up the aisle with her Dad and it was a beautifully touching moment.

After the Ceremony we moved into the courtyard and performed a few more acoustic songs whilst the photographer took some pictures in the lovely April sunshine, some of which can be found on our Taylormade Acoustic Duo website.

The Taylormade Live Band got the evening off to a brilliant start as we performed Kirsty and Sotirios's First Dance to 'Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You' By Andy Williams. Then everyone hit the dance floor with favourites like 'Sex On Fire' and 'Sunny Afternoon'! We then finished the evening with our brilliant DJ service and it seems everyone had a really great time!

We would like to thank Kirsty and Sotirios for choosing us to perform for them on their special day and wish them all the best for their future together!

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Lynsey and Steve Ingamells, Charlotte House Hotel, Lincoln

On Thursday 8th April Taylormade Live Band had the pleasure of performing at the Wedding of Steve and Lynsey Ingamells at the lovely Charlotte House Hotel in Lincoln.

Steve and Lynsey started the evening with an incredible First Dance to 'Now that we've found Love' by Heavy D and The Boyz which they had choreographed brilliantly! The whole bridal party joined in too to surprise the rest of the guests and it's definitely up there with one the funniest First Dances we have ever seen!

We kicked off our First set with ' Can't Hurry Love' By The Supremes and the dance floor was packed all night long. We even had an encore at the end of the night with Steve and Lynsey not wanting the night to end!

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Joe and Emma Mitchell, Hundith Hill Hotel, Cockermouth

On Monday 5th April Taylormade Live Band continued their 'Easter Tour' and headed all the way to Cockermouth in The Lake District For Joe and Emma's Wedding.

The beautiful Hundith Hill Hotel was surrounded by rolling hills and lakes and was the perfect setting for Joe and Emma's Wedding Day.

Matt and I started the afternoon with a relaxed acoustic set during their Wedding Breakfast performing songs like 'Songbird' By Eva Cassidy and 'You're Still The One' By Shania Twain and a few other of Joe and Emma's favourites.

After speeches and the cutting of the cake, the Taylormade Live Band kicked off the night with Joe and Emma's First Dance' Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You' By Andy Williams. We then performed 'Stand By Me' which Joe and Emma had chosen especially to dance with their parents! It was a really lovely moment watching the whole bridal party take to the floor and celebrate the day!

Joe and Emma had requested we ended the night with our DJ to 'New York, New York' By Frank Sinatra and it was really great to watch them all in a circle with Joe and Emma in the middle dancing away!

We had a fantastic time and it was a real pleasure to perform for them all.

Taylormade Live Wedding Band - Chris and Katie Lang, Dodmoor House, Northamptonshire

On Saturday 3rd April, Taylormade kicked off their 'Easter Tour' at the gorgeous Dodmoor House near Daventry in Northamptonshire.

Chris and Katie booked us after seeing us performing Live locally and we had a fantastic time performing for them on their special day.

Chris and Katie had asked Matt and I to perform an acoustic duo set mid afternoon as their guests arrived at their venue and as we started playing the sun came out! It was a beautiful moment watching Chris and Katie arrive in the sunshine with Chris in his Highland attire and Katie in her beautiful dress. Although we perform at so many Weddings we are always touched by the lovely moments we see.

Later that evening we played 'I Love You' By the Ordinary Boys for Chris and Katie's First Dance and then we continued with 2 x 60 minute Live Band sets. The Dance Floor was packed and we had a fantastic time entertaining everyone until the end of the night!

Taylormade Live Band - Easter Tour!

A belated Happy Easter From Taylormade!

In the past week Taylormade Acoustic Duo and Taylormade Live Band have performed at 5 Weddings all across the UK. We were so busy that we decided to call it our Easter Tour and yes we did eat a lot of Easter Eggs on the way!

Taylormade Acoustic Duo Performing At Acorn Childcare Charity Ball - 13th March 2010

Matt and I will be performing at Acorn Childcare's Charity Ball in aid of The Rainbow Trust and Anna's Hope.

The ball will be taking place on 13th March 2010 in Spalding, Lincolnshire and we are all hoping to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.

The Rainbow Trust provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. They rely almost completely on donations and help around 1000 families every year.

Anna's Hope was set up by Anna's parents after their daughter died just age 3 from a brain tumour. The charity are hoping to raise money to fund research into the cure of children with brain tumours and improve the rehabilitation facilities and support available to those children who are hopefully cured.
